You know even though sewing makes me so happy. Finding the time to drag my sewing machine out to complete a project doesnt happen often. Which leads me to finding creative ways to make things without having to sew. I recently finished a banner for Everly’s Big Girl Bedroom and had to share the simple process to make it.

Best part is that you can totally customize it to match any room or birthday party theme!

Materials needed:

-Hot glue gun
-Hot glue sticks
-Variety of felt for flags
-Scissors
-1 pack biase tape

For the flags you can make them as big or little as you’d like. I just free handed the flag’s out of a sheet of paper. I was able to get 3 flags out of each piece of felt.

You can either trace and then cut or hold the paper to the felt and cut the flags out free hand.

Alternating colors looks best: I decided to ditch the dark purple halfway through this project.

Using the hot glue gun;  put a line of glue on the bottom half of the baise tape and press the trangle down.

Lastly, apply hot glue to the top of the baise tape. I didnt meassure anything during the project just eyeballed it.

My favorite this about this banner is just how easy it is to customize by just changing the colors, adding puffy paint polka dots ( like I did) or spell out a message!

It adds the perfect amount of deatil to Everly’s book nook in her bedroom.
