When we moved into our new home I will admit there was one thing I was most excited about. That was being able to finally give Everly her own bedroom. In our last place she shared a room with us, while we made it work as you can see here. It was far from ideal for any long term solution.

I started out with the paint color I wanted something fresh and girly. I went with a light purple and added a gold polka dot focal wall.  Her bedroom isn’t a large space so I went with white furniture , gold accents and pops of color throughout. I was able to tye in handmade touches throughout I absolutely love how it all turned out, Everly is in love with it and says its so tute (cute)!

Since I was going for a bright girly room I began my search for the right bedding. I got excited for a few reason when I saw The Chic White bedding that Beddy’s offered. First the ruffle detail was the right amount of girly without being over the top.  Second I love that the top zipper’s all the way around. This makes it super easy to make Everly’s bed. Lastly since the bottom part fits just like a fitted sheet it makes it super easy and  quick to unzip the top off to wash it. Bonus is that Everly has even caught on to how simple it is to make her own bed and she isn’t even two!

The art above her bed is made by me. I got this canvas and painted the saying “Love You Forever” on it ad fished the look with crochet flowers. This adorable rainbow pillow is the perefect pop of color on her bed.

Everly LOVES her  hair bows so I wanted to show them all off.  I took this IKEA frame, added wire and clothes pins, after spray painting it. To store her larger bows and headbands I found this pink teired shelf at homegoods.

I didnt want to clutter her room with to much stuff. Yet I wanted it to be a place she could enjoy for more then just sleeping. When I found these wire baskets I was inspired to put together a comfy book nook. I started by creating a comfy place to sit with this polka dot toki mat and all the pillows including a fun donut one that I crocheted. I completed the area with a couple larger white crates on the ground to hold more books, cuddly stuffed animals and cozy blankets. The additon of the no sew banner that I made in the corner gives this area a bit of whimsy.
