If you have been following along you know by now that we live in a small two bedroom townhouse. We share a room with Everly and have limited space through the rest of the house.

Once Everly could sit up I knew I needed to get creative and come up with a way to fit a play area into our small space. I was so jealous of all the super fun play rooms that are plastered all over insta and Pinterest.

Let’s be real though for a second, not everyone ( including us) has a huge house with an extra room laying around ready to be turned into the next most amazingly fantastic Instagram worthy play room. Amiright!?!?!?

With a little creativity I knew I could come up with a pretty fantastic play area. Now I’ll be taking back my statement of jealousy cause Evie LOVES her play area and that is all that matters in my book!!!!  Small space play area Pink Fisher Price chair

Let’s get to it. How did I find any room in an already cramped space?

I simply moved our dinning room table over about 3 feet and added this shelf.

Instant play area ! I should add- I spent $0 putting this together.

Since this shelf was in our garage and the toy basket was a baby shower gift. (I found the shelf Here and a similar basket Here)

The shelf is the perfect height that she can pull herself up on and knock everything off of. Yet isn’t tall enough that she can pull it onto herself. Small space play area (Everly loves these felt donuts by MuffinBubDolls )

So get creative mommas. Don’t limit yourself based on what you don’t have, instead make it work with what you do have!

Small space play area The adorable doll with flower dress was made special just for Evie! Go grab one for your lil one over at Kay Lorraine Boutique

Now if you don’t mind I’m going to spam the crap out of Instagram and Pinterest with my creative lil play area

Smile,

Kayla
