WOW I cannot believe that my once tiny 7lb 5oz little baby girl is 10!! It seems like just yesterday I was wrapping Olivia up in blankets and rocking her to sleep. She is now an independent lil’ lady out conquering the world. She has always been wise beyond her year, sensitive, thoughtful, outgoing and very creative.

In fact she came up with this super creative party theme, “Let’s Glow Crazy” a black light, glow party. Super fun right!?!?!? I thought so to until we went to the party store for supplies. Wouldn’t you know it they had no black light decoration…….. So she and I jumped on Pintrest for some creative inspiration.

Turns out not finding decorations gave us a chance to spend time together doing what we love DIY projects!! We started off with finding these awesome invites over at Maxabella Loves already pre-done all we had to do was fill in our info and print them out. So Simple!

Next on our list was a location. We needed a large place that could accommodate room for dancing, eating and fun. We would also need to be able to make it as dark as possible. My amazing husband came through and was able to get the board room at his office. The only problem was it has 8 windows in it. Thanks to Pinterest for the idea of covering the windows with a big roll of black paper. It blacked out the windows perfectly and we used the remaining for the back drop of the photo both. Win Win !

We made all the wall & table top decorations out of one package of Neon Paper! Garland, Hearts, squares, zig zags, triangles pinwheels ect. The whole room was decked out with the decorations it looked awesome. The kiddos had a blast at the “Glow Bar” It was stocked with lots and lots of glow sticks and highlighters so they could draw on their hands and arms (highlighters glow in black light)

To achieve the best Glowing theme we used two black lights that did an incredible job of really making the whole room, decorations and kiddos glow.

Check out these crazy glowing kiddos!!!

For activities we had planned a photo booth, dancing, musical chairs, neon tic tac toe and the ‘saran wrap ball game. Turns out throwing balloons and glow sticks at each other is WAY more fun though HAHA. We stuffed everyone full of pizza, soda, cupcakes and a disgusting amount of candy.

At the end of the day when I asked Olivia if it was everything She hoped it would be she replied “it was way better than I ever imagined” Happy lil’ lady Happy momma <3
